Sustain Blaine hires TIP

Sustain Blaine, a regional cooperative alliance of public and private organizations in Blaine County, Idaho, hired TIP to develop a countywide regional economic strategy. Our team will work with stakeholders and hold community workshops to identify the economic challenges and opportunities facing Blaine, which experienced explosive growth over the last 30 years. Other issues addressed in the strategy include business retention, expansion and attraction, tax-base diversification, housing, regional migration patterns, and talent recruitment and retention. Once complete, the strategy will outline specific actions Sustain Blaine and countywide entities can take to promote a sustainable economy in the county.

York County Economic Development Corporation engages TIP

TIP has been engaged by the York County Economic Development Corporation to assist regional partners in designing a business-and-implementation plan for a proposed York County Advanced Technology Center. Located in Southeast Pennsylvania, York County is home to a broad and vibrant economic base, ranging from advanced manufacturing to life sciences to agricultural processing. TIP will assist York County in designing a program that promotes innovation in emerging and target industries through talent development, technology commercialization, industry assistance, and entrepreneurial growth. Local partners contributing to the project include leaders in economic development, higher education, workforce training, and business and industry.
Witchita Falls, TX - Success in Defense Diversification

The City of Wichita Falls, TX successfully pursued a defense diversification grant from the Department of Defense’s Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA). The grant award is funding a defense diversification strategic plan for the region surrounding Sheppard Air Force Base, developed by TIP Strategies, with the assistance of Freese and Nichols. The plan will offer strategies for economic diversification for the region, serve as a guide development for the city, address community image, and will incorporate other related existing plans.

Lake County Strategic Plan

TIP is working with public and private stakeholders in Lake County and the Greater Orlando area to prepare an economic development strategic plan. The report will embrace opportunities for entrepreneurship and small business development, enhance and protect the unique sense of place and high quality of life in its communities, establish an improved business image of the county, and stimulate the development of a diversified economic base in Lake County.
